Who we are

The data controller is The Car Guys Studio (“The Car Guys”, “we”, “us”), Ruikar Colony, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India.

You can reach us on +91 89284 80501 (call or WhatsApp) or through our Instagram page @the_car_guys01.

What we collect and why

• Enquiry form: your name, phone number, optional email, optional service of interest and your message. We use it to reply to you and arrange your booking. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a service, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
• WhatsApp: if you message or call us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp handles that conversation under its own privacy policy, and we use what you send to reply and arrange your booking.
• Customer reviews: when a customer sends us a review and agrees to it being shown, we publish their name, car model, star rating and review text. We do not accept reviews from the public through this website. You can ask us to change or remove your review at any time.
• Visitor counter: the site counts visits without storing who you are. A small marker in your browser’s session storage stops the same visit being counted twice and is cleared when you close the tab.
• Security and rate limiting: our servers process your IP address to keep the site secure and to stop abuse (for example repeated form submissions). We do not use it to identify you.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
• We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.

Who we share data with

Only with service providers that help us run the site, such as our web and database hosting provider, who process data on our instructions. If you accept cookies, Google loads the map on this page and may collect data under the Google Privacy Policy. Links to Instagram and WhatsApp take you to those services, which have their own policies. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

Where your data is stored

Enquiries and reviews are stored in our database on servers used by our hosting provider. If that is outside your country, we rely on the provider’s safeguards for the transfer.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and for our business records, and we delete them on request. Published reviews stay online until you ask us to remove them. Security logs are kept for a short period.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy,
• correct data that is wrong or incomplete,
• delete your data, or restrict how we use it,
• move your data to another provider, where it applies,
• stop using your data where we rely on legitimate interest, and
• withdraw consent you gave us (this does not affect what we did before).

How to use your rights or complain

You can reach us on +91 89284 80501 (call or WhatsApp) or through our Instagram page @the_car_guys01. We will reply within one month. If you are not happy, you can complain to your local data protection authority: in the EU, your national supervisory authority; in India, the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

The website is for adults who own or drive vehicles. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.

Security

We use HTTPS, restricted staff-only access to enquiries and reviews, input checks and rate limits. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the enquiry form.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version (31 October 2026).
