What are cookies?

Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Browsers also offer similar storage (local and session storage). We call all of these “cookies” here.

What we use

• Essential: “carguys-consent” (local storage, kept until you clear it). Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask you on every visit. It does not identify you.
• Essential: a visit marker in session storage. Stops the visitor counter counting the same visit twice. Deleted when you close the tab.
• Staff only: a sign-in key in session storage on the private admin page. Visitors never get this.
• Optional, only if you accept all: Google Maps. When the map loads, Google may set cookies and collect data such as your IP address. See the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

What we do not use

No advertising cookies, no analytics or tracking cookies, and no social-media tracking pixels. Our fonts are hosted on our own site.

Your choice

Essential storage does not need consent because the site cannot work properly without it. The Google map loads only after you press “Accept all” or “Allow & show map”. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings. If you choose “Essential only”, a button to open the location in Google Maps is shown instead of the embedded map.
